	The Association for Behavior Analysis International was originally founded as the Midwest Association for Behavior Analysis (MABA) in 1974 and held its inaugural meeting in 1975 in Chicago. That organization quickly outgrew its regional roots and evolved into the Association for Behavior Analysis, now an international organization. ABAI is a nonprofit professional membership organization with the mission to develop, enhance, and support the growth and vitality of behavior analysis through research, education, and practice.
	ABAI invites you to link the ABAI Hotline from your site. The Hotline is an e-mail service that gives your members and constituents access to consultation services and advice on a wide variety of professional issues.
	The Behavior Analyst Certification Board®, Inc. (BACB®) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation established to meet professional credentialing needs identified by behavior analysts, governments, and consumers of behavior analysis services. The BACB adheres to the national standards for boards that grant professional credentials. The BACB certification procedure undergoes regular psychometric review and validation, pursuant to a job analysis survey of the profession and standards established by content experts in the field.
	The of Association Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) is a new organization with the primary mission of serving the needs of professional behavior analyst practitioners credentialed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The APBA is a membership organization. There are multiple classes of membership, affiliation, and sponsorship. BACB-credentialed members must hold a current certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. Other classes of membership do not require certification. In addition, organizations may be affiliates or sponsors. Other classes of membership do not require certification.
	Practioner Issues in Behavior Analysis is a special interest group (SIG) of ABAI. As applied behavior analysis forms into a profession it is logically developing interest and difficulties uniquely related to the practice of behavior analysis in the school system, mental health system, and developmental disabilities system. This SIG is dedicated to the establishment of behavior analysis as a unique clinical practice. We support federal, local and state initiatives including but not limited to the licensing of behavior analysis.
	The B. F. Skinner Foundation was established in 1989 to publish significant literary and scientific works in the analysis of behavior and to educate professionals and public about the science of behavior founded by Skinner. Since that time the Foundation has expanded its operations to better serve the behavioral science community and the public. Its activities stretch from archiving past efforts and conserving artifacts to supporting the research efforts of students and future scientists.
	The purpose of Heartland Association for Behavior Analysis (HLABA) is to promote the analytical science of behavior and its associated technologies within the Heartland area (Nebraska, Iowa, and surrounding areas).
ABAI Affilated Chapters	Affiliated chapters are membership organizations associated with ABAI through their interest in the dissemination and growth of behavior analysis. They are defined by a geographical boundary; for instance, a state, a region, or a country. ABAI maintains a mutually beneficial relationship with 59 affiliated chapters in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. These chapters often hold conferences, sponsor lectures, and offer continuing education opportunities.
	ABAI Special Interest Groups (SIG's) are a critical component of ABAI and provide additional services and support to members with specialized interests. SIG's are initiated by members to provide a forum for information exchange and a vehicle to promote a particular area of interest. Click the logo for a list of all current SIGs.
	The Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies is a not-for-profit, charitable (501, C-3) organization. We advance our mission by disseminating and interpreting behavioral research for your use and for the benefit of everyone who can make a difference in the lives of their families, communities and organizations; parents, teachers, physicians, attorneys, nurses, counselors, judges, engineers, and managers from corporate executives to first line supervisors in business, industry and government.
	Behavior Analysis in Practice's  mission is to promote empirically validated best practices in an accessible format that describes not only what works, but also the challenges of implementation in practical settings. Types of articles and topics published will include empirical reports describing the application and evaluation of behavior-analytic procedures and programs; discussion papers on professional and practice issues; technical articles on methods, data analysis, or instrumentation in the practice of behavior analysis; tutorials on terms, procedures, and theories relevant to best practices in behavior analysis; and critical reviews of books and products that are aimed at practitioners or consumers of behavior analysis.
	The Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis is a psychology journal that publishes research about applications of the experimental analysis of behavior to problems of social importance. The Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior is a psychology journal primarily for the original publication of experiments relevant to the behavior of individual organisms.
	The Behavior Analyst, ABA International’s official publication, is published twice annually. In addition to articles on theoretical, experimental, and applied topics in behavior analysis, this journal includes literature reviews, re-interpretations of published data, and articles on behaviorism as a philosophy.
	The annual issue of The Analysis of Verbal Behavior is for the original publication of experimental or theoretical papers relevant to a behavioral analysis of verbal behavior. Topics include: elementary verbal operants, multiple control, rule-governed behavior, epistemology, language acquisition, pedagogy, verbal behavior research methodology, and others.

	The Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions offers sound, research-based principles of positive behavior support for use in school, home and community settings with people with challenges in behavioral adaptation. Regular features include empirical research; discussion, literature reviews, and conceptual papers; programs, practices, and innovations; forum; and media reviews.
